Education – Right or Privilege?

Education is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. It is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.
Education can be a right when you get it free and it is compulsory and shouldn’t be a business, because it is necessary to communicate, to have a good quality of life and to have a nice job in the future and be successful.
But it can be a privilege when there are a lot of children that don’t go to school and don’t have access to education because they can’t afford it, they don’t get the chance or it is distant from their facilities or simply because their parents don’t understand how important education is.
So, education is a right and a privilege, because even being something that we need, some children don’t have access to it. So, we should be proud to have a nice education because there are a lot of children that just don’t have the chance to have it.
