A new life in Portugal

Presentation
Khristyna Jelisyeyeva is a student in Portugal, she is Ukranian and she is seventeen years old.
Kristyna came to Portugal because her father is an orthodox priest and had a mission. He came first, then she came with her mother.

The new culture and the differences
When Khristyna first came to Portugal she faced a challenge – a different culture and a different language. Talking about religion, Khristyna, being an orthodox in a community of Catholics, had a hard life adapting.
As to the language, it was hard for her to learn Portuguese because she had never heard a word of it before and it’s quite different from her own language. Of course it was hard and strange because everyone around her talked Portuguese and she didn’t understand a word of it.
Considering the food, it wasn’t that hard for her to adapt being the worst problem at first the language since she didn’t know what she was buying.

Her life
She has friends, she can already follow lessons correctly and she’s a good student.

Conclusion
In conclusion, after a hard path she found happiness. Khristyna struggled hard when she came to Portugal, but after a long fight she made it, and she is now happy and got used to our culture.
